ZW32‑12 Outdoor High‑voltage AC Vacuum Circuit‑Breaker is outdoor distribution equipment with rated voltage 12 kV, three‑phase AC 50 Hz.

It is designed for pole‑mounted installation. This switch is mainly used to make and break load current, overload current and short‑circuit current in power systems, with overload, short‑circuit and instantaneous trip protection functions. Single‑side disconnector, double‑side disconnector or upper‑mounted disconnector can be optionally equipped.

Product Features

• Arc‑extinguishing by vacuum interrupter The inside of vacuum interrupter maintains high vacuum, which acts as insulating and arc‑extinguishing medium during live‑line operation. When contacts separate under load via operating mechanism, vacuum arc generates between contacts and extinguishes at current zero‑crossing to interrupt circuit current.
• Composite insulation of air‑silicone rubber and epoxy resin is adopted; sealed‑pole type is also available.
• Fully enclosed inside stainless‑steel or ordinary steel housing. Excellent sealing performance for explosion‑proof, anti‑condensation and anti‑pollution.
• Two‑phase or three‑phase current transformers for protection, measurement or metering can be fitted inside the switch.
• CT ratios are normally triple‑ratio types: 50 100 150/5, or 100 200 300/5, or 200 400 600/5. Custom ratios are available according to customer load conditions. Protection class accuracy: 10P10; measurement & metering class accuracy: 0.2S, 0.2, 0.5.
• Dry‑type voltage transformer can be installed inside the switch for operating power supply and voltage sampling.
• Flexible solution with reserved interface for distribution network automation for future upgrade.

With the development of smart grid, conventional switches require continuous upgrading and function expansion. This switch meets such requirements:  • Reclosing controller can be added to realize automatic reclosing.  • Matched with electronic PT, battery is charged from CT power supply. Multiple energy‑storage & closing‑opening operations are available under power‑loss condition, and working voltage for external devices can be supplied.  • Built‑in metering CT/PT supports remote prepayment function. Zero‑sequence CT can be added for earth‑fault protection with sectionalizer controller. Simple remote controller is optional for local remote operation at pole base upon customer request.

• Optional disconnector Reliable mechanical interlock is implemented between single‑side / double‑side / upper‑mounted disconnector and circuit‑breaker. Disconnector cannot be operated when circuit‑breaker is in closed position.
• Housing material option: stainless steel or ordinary steel. Surge controller (2‑phase or 3‑phase, subject to CT quantity) can be installed to provide overload, short‑circuit and instantaneous trip protection. Current threshold and delay time are user‑configurable.
• Operating Mechanism CT spring mechanism supports both manual and motor‑driven operation.
