VEF(R)-12 Draw‑out Type Indoor Vacuum Load Switch (Fuse‑Combination Unit)

The VEF(R)-12 draw‑out type indoor vacuum load switch (fuse‑combination unit) is our self‑developed indoor device for 3‑phase AC 50 Hz, rated voltage 12 kV.

As a main component for ring‑main power supply units, it is widely used in distribution systems for industrial & mining enterprises, residential communities, hospitals, schools, parks, secondary substations, etc. It is an ideal choice for protecting station‑service transformers.

This product complies with GB 3804 High‑voltage alternating‑current load‑switches for 3.6 kV up to 40.5 kV and GB 16926 High‑voltage alternating‑current load‑switch‑fuse combination units.

    2.pngPerformance Features

    1. VEF(R)-12 features compact and novel structure with small footprint.
    2. It delivers stable and reliable performance, long electrical service life, strong making‑and‑breaking capacity, and permits safe and convenient maintenance.
    3. Its vacuum interrupter is assembled inside an insulating cylinder with our proprietary technology. The switch requires low maintenance, creates no pollution, poses no explosion risk and generates low noise with high insulation level. It is suitable for severe operating conditions with frequent operations.
    4. Equipped with our self‑developed integrated modular spring operating mechanism. Complete five‑prevent interlock functions are available after cabinet installation.
    5. The unique design of the combination unit arranges three‑phase fuses horizontally on the upper side of the load switch. The rational layout facilitates inspection and maintenance.
    6. The load switch and its combination unit can be matched with VS1, VD4, ZN63A and other devices for installation in mid‑mount withdrawable switchgears such as KYN44, GZS1, KYN28, providing optimized options and configurations for designers.
    7. The VEF(R)-12 draw‑out vacuum load switch and its combination unit support both manual and electric operation.
    8. The combination unit provides two tripping modes: fuse‑triggered shunt‑trip and electromagnetic latch operation.  1) For overload current breaking: relay protection sends command to trip the vacuum load switch via shunt release.  2) For short‑circuit fault: after fuse melting, the mechanical trip system completes opening. The fuse acts only as backup short‑circuit protection, greatly reducing operating costs.
    9. The VEF(R)-12 vacuum load‑switch‑fuse combination unit can effectively protect transformers.
