Overview

VZG5 Indoor High-Voltage Vacuum Circuit Breaker is a new switchgear applied in 12kV, 24kV and 40.5kV power systems. It serves as the control and protection unit for electrical facilities of industrial and mining enterprises, power plants and substations. Owing to the unique advantages of vacuum circuit breakers, it is especially suitable for frequent operation at rated working current or repeated breaking of short-circuit current.

This circuit breaker complies with the requirements of GB/T 1984-2014 High-Voltage Alternating Current Circuit Breakers, JB/T 3855-2008 3.6–40.5kV Indoor AC High-Voltage Vacuum Circuit Breakers, DL/T 403-2000 Technical Specification for Ordering 12kV–40.5kV High-Voltage Vacuum Circuit Breakers, and the relevant requirements of IEC 62271-100:2008.

The circuit breaker adopts an integrated design of the operating mechanism and the breaker body, with a front-rear split structure. It features reliable interlocking functions and can be used either as a fixed-mounted unit or assembled with a chassis truck to form a withdrawable (handcart) unit.

    Operating Conditions

    • Ambient temperature: -15°C ~ +40°C;
    • Ambient humidity: daily average relative humidity ＜95%;
    • Daily average vapour pressure ≤ 2.2×10⁻³ MPa, monthly average relative humidity ≤ 90%;
    • Monthly average vapour pressure ≤ 1.8×10⁻³ MPa;
    • Altitude ≤ 1000m;
    • Seismic intensity less than Grade 8;
    • The applicable site shall be free from dripping water, flammable and explosive hazards, chemically corrosive gases and severe vibration.
